he princely castle was located in the south-eastern part of the present town, on the bank of the Vistula escarpment. Already in the 11th-12th centuries there was a large castellany, and after the location of the town in 1422, a brick castle was erected in its place. Its later history is unknown.
After the destruction, only the basement of the residential building and probably the foundations of the remaining part of the complex survived. On these cellars, in the nineteenth century, a new residential building was erected, which was destroyed during the Second World War. Currently, a private owner has erected a smaller house in the same place for a café or club. He willingly escorted those interested in history around the preserved castle cellars and the property.
