ojnowice has been mentioned in sources since the 13th century, in the 15th century there was a defensive foundation of bourgeois families from Wrocław. At the beginning of the 16th century, the estate was in the hands of the Schebitz family and soon after, in 1513, Mikołaj Schebitz erected the northern wing of the castle. After 1530, there was already a four-wing complex here. Built of brick, the castle has a plan similar to a square with sides of 22x24 meters, the entrance was located in the northern wing and the whole was surrounded directly by a moat, through which a drawbridge was thrown. A well was placed in the courtyard.
In 1537, the Wojnowice estate became the property of the, who ruled it until 1576. In 1560, Jakub Boner, during the reconstruction, gave the castle a Renaissance character. The building then gained window frames made of sandstone and a portal of the entrance gate, the roofs were topped with stepped gables, and arcades were erected in the courtyard. A slender square tower rises next to the gate. In this form, the castle has survived to the present day, the reconstructions carried out in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries have not changed its appearance. As a result of the reconstruction from the 19th century, the drawbridge was replaced with a brick arcaded one.
During World War II, the castle was damaged. Then it was
