e ruins of the princely castle on the mountain. It was probably founded by the prince of Świdnica-Jawor, Bolesław the Bald in the 1st half of the 13th century. Expanded on an irregular plan in the 2nd half of the 13th century by prince Bolko I. It was the seat of the Dukes of Świdnica and Jawor. At the end of the fourteenth century, it passed into the hands of knights. Expanded in the fourteenth and fifteenth cent. it consisted of an upper, middle and low castle. Fortified in the sixteenth century. Destroyed during the Thirty Years' War in the seventeenth century, it was not rebuilt. Fragments of walls, towers and fortifications have been preserved.
