Castle in Wielka Wieś

n 1231, the Knights Templar received new estates in the Torzym land from the grant of Władysław Odonic. A commandery was established here, called Magna villa in documents. The defensive seat was located on a large hill measuring 100x60 meters and steep slopes. The hill was surrounded by swamps, and access to it led through a causeway. In 1617, there was probably no trace of the castle.
