1309, the Teutonic Knights erected a brick castle in Tczew on the site of the destroyed stronghold. After these lands became part of the Polish, from 1466 it was the seat of the starost. A hundred years later, it was already abandoned and ruined, which is described in the inspection carried out in 1565. At the beginning of the 19th century, the Prussian authorities ordered the dismantling of the remains of the walls, which completely erased the traces of the building.
