v  en before the 12th century, a hill was built over the Warta River, on which fortifications certainly existed in the 12th century. Casimir the Great used this place to build a brick castle in the fourteenth century. The complex consisted of an octagonal tower and several residential buildings. Polish kings were frequent guests here. It fell into disrepair in the eighteenth century. In 1792, the local regional council decided to demolish the castle. Traces of foundations have been preserved in the ground. |
