iginally the castle in Radziejów was a wooden structure. The Leszczyński family had a brick-and-stone tower built in the 16th century. During so-called "Swedish deluge" it was damaged and fell into ruin in the 18th century. Its fragmentary walls were pulled down in 1820 and the moats were filled up. On the plan dated from 1820 the castle is situated between the Nowa and Zamkowa streets, next to the Franciscan Order.
