Castle in Przewodziszowice

he establishment of the watchtower in Przewodziszowice was associated with the construction of a defense system by Casimir the Great. The village of Przewodziszowice is mentioned in sources shortly afterwards, in 1382. The watchtower was probably abandoned during the times of Władysław Opolczyk, and then it was handed over to private hands.

In the years 1426-1454, Mikołaj Siestrzeniec had his seat here, who was involved in robbery in the area, and the Przewodziszowice watchtower was ideally suited

for shelter. Nicholas enjoyed sympathy in the lower strata of society, because he supposedly only attacked wealthy merchants and magnates. Which is not surprising, because attacks on the poor were not and do not belong to lucrative activities :)

The inaccessibility of the castle is evidenced by the lack of any historical records concerning its siege or capture. At the foot of the fortress there used to be a lower castle protected by a moat. It served as a permanent place of residence for the crew, who climbed up the mountain using wooden, easily destroyed ladders. Numerous remains of everyday objects were found in this area.
