e castle in Pieszyce was probably built in the second half of the thirteenth century, during the reign of Henry IV Probus, on the mountain now called Grodzisko. The main castle was located on a mound with a diameter of 60 meters rising about 8 meters above the ground, the mound was surrounded by a moat. The castle had two outer baileys - one from the north-east, the other from the south-west, both in the shape of ovals with a longer axis of 70 meters and surrounded by a moat. The complex is more reminiscent of the remains of a hillfort.
Artur Boguszewicz conducted archaeological research here, during which no brick buildings were found, but the ramparts surrounding individual parts have a stone, wood and earth structure, and the internal buildings were made of stones
