t he bishop's castle on a hill dominating the town. Built at the end of the 13th century in the Gothic style, on an irregular plan in the place of the earlier castellan stronghold existing since the 11th century. It was the property of the bishops of Wrocław. Destroyed during the Hussite wars in the 1st half of the 15th century. Rebuilt and fortified in the 2nd half of the 15th century. It was rebuilt in the Renaissance style in the years 1585-1596 into the residence of bishops. It was occupied by the Swedes in 1646, and then by the Prussian army in 1741. Partially demolished in the nineteenth century, 2 wings, a tower from the fifteenth century and perimeter walls have survived from the old complex.
