rth-east of today's town, on the Rega River, in a lowland area, there was a knight's castle. It was erected in the second half of the thirteenth century by the castellan of Kołobrzeg from the von Borck family. It probably consisted of a residential house surrounded by ramparts and an outer bailey. After the fire in 1670, the castle was not rebuilt, and the remains were demolished in 1832.
