o n the steep rock there are faint remains of the castle called the castle of Blessed Kinga or 'Pieniny'. This rock is called the Castle Hill and is located in the Three Crowns massif. When it was built - it is not known exactly, but it is known that at the end of the 13th century the Polish court found shelter here during the Tatar attacks. In 1433, it was destroyed by the Hussites. The remaining remains are covered with earth and overgrown, fragments of the wall with a window opening can be seen, the foundations

of a small room or tower and the remains of the defensive wall can also be recognized.
In 1938 T. Szczygielski conducted archaeological research here. From the objects found during these researches, it is possible to determine with some approximation the time of the castle's construction, the second half of the 13th century, which would be consistent with the fact that the Polish court stayed here at the end of this century.
