he first fortifications on the Ina River were erected shortly after the local estate came into the possession of the Wedel family in 1305. The complex was probably made of wood and earth. Already in 1338 it was destroyed by the army of prince Barnim III.
In the place of the destroyed fortalice around the mid-fourteenth century, the Wedel family erected a brick castle with a plan similar to a square with a side of 30 meters.
A brick wall with a stone base was erected around the perimeter of the mound. The entrance was in the south-west wall and was protruding in front of the face of the walls. The residential building occupied the opposite side of the perimeter. In the north-west corner, a tower with sides of 8.5 x 9 meters was erected, the whole was surrounded by an earth rampart protruding about

20 meters in front of the perimeter of the walls.
In the fifteenth century, the castle, neglected, slowly began to fall into ruin and around 1500 it was abandoned. Later, the ruins were gradually reduced by the passage of time and sometimes demolition by the local population.
Currently, only the remains of the ground floor walls and the tower walls preserved above remain here.
