he Dukes of Brzeg erected a hunting castle here at the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries. The late Renaissance complex has a plan similar to a square, two storeys and a tower protruding from the east with a staircase. Originally, the walls were covered with sgraffito decoration. Both floors are divided into five rooms.
The castle with a small courtyard was surrounded by a moat, partially preserved to this day.
In the mid-seventeenth century, construction works took place, the ceiling on the first floor, which is covered with polychromes, comes from this period.
In 1720, the castle became the property of the city of Brzeg. In the nineteenth century, it was significantly transformed, it is possible that then some buildings of the castle complex were demolished. In 1936, it was renovated.

Currently, it is covered with a gable roof with pediments, but originally it looked much more attractive, as shown in Wernher's engraving from the mid-eighteenth century. Currently, it is used only for residential purposes.
