brick castle existed on the site of today's Orthodox church. It was erected in the years 1464-1472 by Spytek Jarosławski, it occupied the south-eastern part of the town hill, the entrance was from the west from the town side. The three-wing complex had towers at the corners, and the central part was occupied by a chapel.
After Spytek's death, the castle became the property of his two daughters and son-in-law, later the divided property was bought by Jan Tarnowski, and in 1569 it became the property
