Castle in Homola

t the Homole gorge, in the place where the Kamionka stream flows into Grajcarek, there is a flat promontory on its left bank. You can see here traces of a ditch dividing the stream so that it surrounded the promontory also from the west. During the research carried out on the surface of the promontory, fragments of ceramics and bricks from the 16th-17th centuries were found.

A mention from a document from 1529 mentions the farm of the abandoned Homola castle, which was part of the salary of the vicars from Bobowa. The Jordans, who owned the local property at that time, gave Jaworki with the manor and the farm to Mikołaj Nawojowski. It is possible that it is the same building, and since it was mentioned in the document, it was probably rebuilt earlier.
