the hill above Wolica, the castle was probably erected during the reign of Casimir the Great in the fourteenth century. From the end of the fourteenth century to 1462 it was in the hands of the dukes of Masovia and Belz, then in 1500 it was destroyed during the invasion of the Tatars. In the mid-seventeenth century, it was rebuilt by the starost of Hrubieszów, Stanisław Sarbiewski. Since the nineteenth century, it has been in ruins. Only fragments of the foundations have survived to this day.
