Built on an irregular plan as a gothic cathedral surrounded by a perimeter wall with towers. In the 15th and 16th centuries, it was fortified with bastejas, a gate tower and a foregate. The complex has survived to this day in its original form, apart from partial reconstruction in the 19th century.
