 e record of the castle in Danków, called "hus Tankow", goes back to 1380. It was situated within the earth-made town fortifications and belonged to the Kittlitz family. Later on Danków was a bone of contention between the family and the Teutonic Order, and the Teutonic Knights captured the town and the castle. Nothing has remained of the castle now.
