Castle in Ciechanowiec

he knight's castle on the Nurzec River was built in the mid-16th century by castellan P. Kiszka. It was originally surrounded by a wall and moats. In the first half of the 17th century, M. Kiszka rebuilt the building. The castle was destroyed during the Swedish Deluge and was never rebuilt. A fragment of the gate and traces of the ramparts and moats have survived to this day.
