c urrently, on the promontory of the mountain ridge above Stradomka, only earthen ramparts concealing the remains of walls are visible. The castle is mentioned in sources only in 1539. Excavations conducted in 1968 by Antoni Jodłowski and K. Reguła allowed us to assess that the first brick elements were built at the end of the 13th century. This date is additionally supported by the fact that in 1539 Chrostowa belonged to the Półkozic family, whose origins date back to the end of the 13th century. Originally, the most protruding fragment of the promontory, measuring approximately 20x28 meters, was reinforced with a dug moat and an earth rampart. In the part thus separated, a brick building was erected, of which fragments of walls remained hidden underground. Also in the later earth rampart, research revealed a fragment of a portal probably coming from this first building.

In the 14th century, a defensive and residential tower was built in the western part of the headland. Fragments of the tower's foundations remain, with a square plan of 7. 5 meters on each side.
The castle is mentioned in historical sources as "fortalicium alias Grodzisko" or "fortalicium Camyk". In 1539, the castle was owned by Krzysztof Niewiarowski of the Półkozic coat of arms, and the defensive residence probably ceased to exist shortly thereafter.
