 ere was a borough in Bytom Odrzański in the 12th century. In the times of Bolesław Krzywousty it withstood the attacks of Henryk V troops. In 1208 it was a seat of a castellan. In 1298 Konrad II, duke of Głogów, built a castle in Bytom Odrzański but it was destroyed during 30 Years War operations. It was situated near the present primary school, in the east of the town.
