t he ruins of a knight's castle from the 14th century on a high limestone ridge. Built in terrain that greatly aided defense. There were swamps on three sides, and the only gentle slope of the hill was cut by a moat. A small courtyard adjoins the tower from the south-east, and the whole was surrounded by a wall. In the second half of the 16th century, the castle fell into the hands of Jan Firlej, who converted it into an Arian church. Later, the castle changed functions once again - in 1594, Jan's son, Mikołaj, transformed it into the Catholic Church of the Holy Cross. The church was rebuilt several times after attacks, but finally at the end of the 18th century it was abandoned and fell into ruin.
