e first record of a stone structure in Bolestraszyce goes back to 1639. Its size and shape cannot be easily defined as in different historic documents it was called a manor, a fortalice or a castle. It was erected probably in the 16th century by the Bolestraszycki family (previous family name - Świętopełk). In the mid-16th century Zofia Bolestraszycka was married to Tomasz Krzysztof Drohojowski and gave the Bolestraszyce estates to him as her dowry.

half of the 19th century. Some time later the 16-th-century remains of the fortalice foundation were used to build a chapel there. The original vaulting has survived in the chapel's basement.
